Employment & Training Division

The Employment & Training Division of the Human Services Department strives towards the following long-term goals through our work together, in close collaboration with community partners. Inclusion and community voice will be prioritized, and we will use an equity lens in:

• Ensuring that individuals and families in Sonoma County have effective safety net services, concrete resources, and support systems to overcome barriers, reduce trauma, obtain housing stability, and achieve healthy lives.
• Supporting un/underemployed youth and adults in accessing education or training to develop skills to obtain living wage jobs, uproot poverty, and gain economic prosperity. 
• Encouraging and empowering employers to hire workers at all levels, entry level to skilled, who will be able to afford to live locally.
