Explanation of Data by Racial/Ethnic Category

Statement on data sharing for communities that are smaller in number:

Race/ethnicity data for certain Performance Measures and certain demographic communities has been intentionally redacted from outward facing data. No one is invisible to us. We collect this detailed data from most organizations and every individual and community is valued. We are committed to protecting the individual identities of program participants, so we do not externally report on racial/ethnic categories with fewer than 11 responses, as that could lead to easier identification of community members, whose confidentiality and trust we rely on and respect.

Story Behind the Curve

Data pending.

10,000 Degrees collects detailed demographic data. Through the Anti-Racist Results-Based Accountability (AR-RBA) process of quarterly Turn-the-Curve check-ins that centers building a transparent, trusting relationship between the County and each funded organization, Performance Measures occasionally shift. This dynamic process is crucial to selecting outcomes that are reflective of programs and clients. When these shifts occur, it causes a slight delay in data entry into the Scorecard. For this reason, data is listed as pending.

Partners

10,000 Degrees is partnering with Santa Rosa High School and Piner High School.

What We Do

Financial aid and college application assistance for 12th grade students and their families to increase college completion rates for students from low-income families as well as scholarship submission and college matriculation support.

We have chosen to work in Santa Rosa and Piner High Schools because these communities face unique educational challenges that require dedicated support. Our presence in these schools is essential to bridge the opportunity gap and empower students to pursue higher education. Each school has a diverse student population, faces economic disparities, and stands to benefit from the type of community collaboration that 10,000 Degrees programming builds.
